Happy New Year! 2022 was a rollercoaster year. How about for you?

My personal life was up and down, going through the journey of grief with my children following the passing of my husband. We also moved from Chicago to a smaller city in the southern states of the US. Huge moves. But I also Published three books!!!! My life long dream cane true!

My husband was my biggest cheerleader in life and always told me to just go for it. To publish those stories I created and trust that my readers would find me through them. Sadly, he left this world before he could see me become a published author under the Katy Manz pen name. But losing him made me realize that I had to do it. I had to hit publish. I had to reach for my dreams. Because life is too short. You can't wait for a tomorrow.
Writing the stories I did was also healing. I was able to give my characters their easy, low angst Happily Ever Afters. I got to feel the tingles of happiness when I let them meet the people perfect for them and build their families. I was able to write about love. And I released three books I am proud of. They are the stories I wanted to tell in the way I wanted to tell them. They are low angst. I know that and thats what I wanted. 2022 was my low angst, easy GEA year. I hope you loved it as much as I did.

So what about 2023? Well the stories I have planned have a bit more angst and action. They are longer than the Choice Versus Fate series too. I also have a few low angst novellas begging to be written so if my schedule permits, I will get those out too. For now the Solid releases are the four books in the new series and a short story I will have in a multi-author anthology coming out in the fall. I am a solo mom, homeschooling her two sons... although I would love to release a bunch more books, I am only committing to those five. But I am hoping that more will join them in 2023. I don't want to over-promise and not be able to deliver. Besides I am still new to this author life - I need to learn a schedule I can maintain long-term and deliver the books you deserve. I already learned so much in my first seven months published.

My kid is calling so I am gonna go....check back for more updates soon!
